Nawnee Mackin caused the death of Samuel Walker by dangerous driving.
He ran him over on Hardy Lane in Chorlton on 9 February 2003.
He wasnt arrested until May 2013 after a cold case review where he was named by a witness and put on an identity parade where he was identified by Samuel Walker’s mother who saw him run Samuel Walker over.
Nawnee Mackin was driving a friends car at the time but the friend reported the car as stolen.
Samuel Walker and his family were on their way to their grandmother’s house at the time for a Sunday afternoon picnic.
